| Abstract: | Addresses variation of air-ice drag coefficient with ice conditions in numerical sea ice simulations. Focuses on measuring neutral air-ice drag coefficient CDN and parameterizing it by ice concentration in southern part of Sea of Okhotsk. Describes direct, wind profile and eddy correlation methods for measuring wind stress and field observations made during February 2002. Derives CDN from twenty six measurements and observation of sea ice conditions and derives simple linear dependence on ice concentration. |
