| Abstract: | Examines frequency spectrum of sea ice velocity using analytical models. Provides examples of observed frequency spectra. Presents mathematical model of two-body sea ice - ocean boundary layer system. Discusses relationship between frequency spectra of forcing and ice velocity response in models with various couplings between ice and ocean boundary layer. Describes shortcomings of ice-only and locked ice-ocean models when compared with full coupled model. |
