| Abstract: | Determines age-depth relationship for 2503-m Dome Fuji deep ice core covering more than 320-kyr. Constructs time scale from past accumulation rates and ice flow model, converting oxygen isotope ratios to accumulation rates using locally derived empirical relation. Describes use of volcanic horizons and annual layer thicknesses to tune time scale calculated with modified Dansgaard-Johnsen model. Presents and discusses profiles of paleo-accumulation and paleo-temperature, identifying within them characteristics of past three glacial and interglacial periods. Finds strong correlation with records from Vostok ice core.
