Analyses stages of development of NSR and main problems in its exploitation as national and international transport route. Outlines natural resource potential of Arctic Russia and geographical and hydrometeorological characteristics of NSR. Describes current state of environment. Considers prospects of development of Arctic fleet (icebreakers, tankers etc.). Covers legal aspects of shipping in Arctic. |
