Seen as "clean diamonds" compared with mayhem of many of Africa's, they led to legal wranglings which author describes at length, together with her experiences of life in area. Dene themselves are divided over value and use of mines. Author, like diamond company Broken Hill Proprietary (BHP), has more guesswork than fact to go on in assessing future effects. |
