| Abstract: | Overview of results of 1995-98 research programme Interactions Oiseaux-Zooplancton (I.O.Z.) at sub-Antarctic Iles Kerguelen. Includes seasonal changes of zooplankton community in Kerguelen area; determination of feeding biology of main species of plankton-feeding birds breeding within Baie du Morbihan; and estimated impact of bird predation on populations of key zooplankton species. Discusses functioning of pelagic food web in waters around Iles Kerguelen, both within Baie du Morbihan and on adjacent outer shelf. |
