Abstract: Presents statistical method to map distribution of cover types significant for reindeer during summer using IRS 1D-LISS satellite imagery. Method exemplified with modeling of distribution of snowbed vegetation, as cover type used most intensively by reindeer. Reports studies conducted near Abisko, north Sweden.
