Abstract: At 6 January Geographical Society of Paris meeting, Venukoff passed on general information on current or recently completed work by various geographers, including atmospheric and astronomical observations, break-up of ice on Russian rivers and discovery off springs of naphtha in Sakhalin. At meeting on 20 January gave details of studies on local magnetic variations in Russia, Novaya Zemlya and France.
