Record #165011:

The Store Björgafjeld and Kola Peninsula / Charles Rabot.

Title: The Store Björgafjeld and Kola Peninsula / Charles Rabot.
Author(s): Rabot, Charles.
Date: 1886.
In: Royal Geographical Society. Proceedings. (1886.), New series 8(1) (1886)
Abstract: Having visited the Store Björgafjeld, which is not a plateau as previously supposed, Rabot states that the mountains are not covered with glaciers as shown on Munch's map but a few large sheets of ice; valleys are well forested. Journeying on, followed line of depression from White Sea to the Glacial Ocean; Lake Imandra is wrongly shown on maps, being dotted with numerous small islands and surrounded by two important mountain ranges.
