Abstract: Voyage from Spitsbergen towards Iceland reached 79° 36′ N., finding ice further south and east than usual; confirms report on ice conditions by Gray, Royal Geographical Society. Proceedings, 1881, New series Vol.3, No.12, p.740. Botanical and zoological collections made, two-hourly observations taken of temperature and specific gravity of sea water throughout, while searching for driftwood and other signs of Jeannette.
