Abstract: Description sent to French Geographical Society of topographer Khandachefsky's expedition from Tobolsk to Obdorsk on Arctic Circle following course of River Ob', via river Polui to valleys of Nadym and Amukdalu along approximate line of 73° E. to Surgut and Omsk. On visit to Samoyeds in Ob' estuary found stone rather than wood idols.
