Abstract: | The Admiralty, prompted by Council of RGS, enquired if expedition should be sent to Bering Strait to watch for return of Nordenskiöld's party; response showed Swedish government not unduly concerned. Russian government has now promised to send vessel from Pacific Station to try to communicate with Nordenskiöld; Sibiryakov reported to be proposing to sail privately from Irkutsk to mouth of Lena to meet Nordenskiöld. |
