Correspondence. Recent recession of a small plateau ice cap, Ellesmere Island, Canada / Carsten Braun, Douglas R. Hardy, Raymond S. Bradley.

Title: Correspondence. Recent recession of a small plateau ice cap, Ellesmere Island, Canada / Carsten Braun, Douglas R. Hardy, Raymond S. Bradley.
Author(s): Braun, Carsten.
Hardy, Douglas R.
Bradley, Raymond S.
Date: 2001.
In: Journal of Glaciology. (2001.), Vol. 47(156) (2001)
Abstract: Presents results of 2000 GPS survey of Murray Ice Cap. Comparison with 1959 map indicates retreat and area reduction of 28%. This and observation of negative mass balance over 1999-2000 supports conclusion that Murray Ice Cap and those nearby are out of equilibrium with modern climate.
