Abstract: Assesses climate of Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) by comparing results from two independent numerical models; an ice-sheet model whose climate inputs were adjusted until results fitted geological evidence, and an Atmospheric General Circulation Model (AGCM) using published ICE-4G model of Eurasian Ice Sheet as input. Compares findings with independent geological evidence relating to LGM climate across Eurasian Arctic. Briefly compares modern patterns of precipitation and air temperature to those inferred for LGM. Notably, finds Kara Sea region dominated by extreme polar desert climate similar to that of today's East Antarctica.
