Record #164156:

Population estimates of yellow-eyed penguins, Megadyptes antipodes, on Campbell Island, 1987-98 / Peter J. Moore, David Fletcher, Jacinda Amey.

Title: Population estimates of yellow-eyed penguins, Megadyptes antipodes, on Campbell Island, 1987-98 / Peter J. Moore, David Fletcher, Jacinda Amey.
Author(s): Moore, Peter J.
Fletcher, David.
Amey, Jacinda.
Date: 2001.
In: Emu. (2001.), Vol. 101(3) (2001)
Abstract: Updates census data from 1988 and 1992, and index counts from 1987 to 1998, to document population trends over 12-year period. Most parts of island shared decrease in population by more than half between 1988-92, but began recovering by 1995. Discusses role of predation by sea lions, and probable problems in food supply from 1991-93 in long-term fluctuations in population size.
