Abstract: Reports results of project during which scientists and students from five countries studied bioclimatic zonation along transect from Amund Ringnes and Ellesmere islands south to treeline. Identifies five subzones from north to south according to dominant growth form: cushion forb; prostrate dwarf shrub; hemiprostrate dwarf shrub; erect dwarf shrub; and low shrub.
