Record #164092:

Pleistocene iceberg production from East Greenland: Synchronous between source areas, but distinct from global ice volume / L.A. Krissek, K.E.K. St.John.

Title: Pleistocene iceberg production from East Greenland: Synchronous between source areas, but distinct from global ice volume / L.A. Krissek, K.E.K. St.John.
Author(s): Krissek, L. A.
St.John, K. E. K.
Date: 2002.
In: Geological Society of Denmark. Bulletin. (2002.), Vol. 49(1) (2002)
Abstract: Thousand year ice-rafted debris record was developed for Ocean Drilling Program site 919 in western Irminger Basin. Major sources were Precambrian igneous and meta-igneous crystalline basement, mainly granite and gneiss from SE Greenland, and Tertiary flood basalts further north. Temporal covariations of mass accumulation suggest source areas had similar iceberg release histories in Pleistocene. No distinct relationship was found with glacial cycles, so local controls dominated.
