Abstract: Compares results for 71 randomly selected Greenlanders from Nuuk and Ilulissat and 2,794 Caucasian Danes in Copenhagen. Results indicate that Greenlanders tend to become infected with Helicobacter pylori early in life. Infection is known to be major risk factor for development of chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer disease and gastric cancer.
