Translated title: The sea's resources 2002.
Author(s): Iversen, Svein A.,
Date: 2002.
Language: Norwegian.
In: Fisken og Havet. Saernummer. (2002.), Vol. 1 (2002)
Abstract: Several important stocks still need protection and strong regulation. Demersal stocks are generally still in worse state than pelagics, especially cod in North-east Arctic and North Sea. Norwegian spring herring will more or less cease decline in 2002. North Sea herring stock is increasing slowly and mackerel stock still seems to be high. Shrimp is declining. Barents Sea capelin is just safe. Fisheries of blue whiting, blue ling, and Sebastes mentella should be stopped, and Greenland halibut cut.
