Record #163577:

Laestadius (L3) og Kautokeino-opprøret / Nellejet Zorgdrager.

Title: Laestadius (L3) og Kautokeino-opprøret / Nellejet Zorgdrager.
Translated title: L3 and the Kautokeino revolt.
Author(s): Zorgdrager, Nellejet.
Date: 2000.
Publisher: Tromsø, Norway: UiT
Language: Norwegian.
In: Vekkelse og vitenskap. Lars Levi Laestadius 200 år. (2000.),
Abstract: Compression of author's definitive book on same subject, with special emphasis on L3's own stance. Anthropologists like to tie causes to leader, led or circumstances. Current view on revolt has gone from first to third of these. They include language, border closing, near-shamanistic powers of revolt leaders, wrongful conclusions from L3's teaching that "saved" are free of sin, and unsympathetic behaviour of Norwegian clergy, even Stockfleth, while several Finns and Swedes were very friendly to Laestadianism.
