| Abstract: | Author describes his arrival in settlement thoroughly permeated with L. Sunday School was only exception to all-age meetings. He was amazed, in comparing his own attempts to get confirmees to listen for few minutes, at atmosphere of complete concentration among 60-70 listeners aged from 15 to 20, while catechism was expounded by two speakers for 40 minutes, following collective prayer and psalm singing. Sections: through non-L's spectacles; distinctive fellowship; "outside" or "inside" (saved)? strong ties; split reality and split movement; results of split; when absence of change leads to distortion; agonising controversies which can often lead to "inauthentic"; critical of Church, yet integrated in it; Middle Way must be possible; is there going to be break with Church?. |
