Title: Ice core drilling at King Col, Mount Logan 2002 / Takayuki Shiraiwa, and 7 others.
Author(s): Shiraiwa, Takayuki.
Date: 2003.
In: Bulletin of Glaciological Research. (2003.), Vol. 20 (2003)
Abstract: Describes drilling of ice core to over 220 m depth in centre of King Col, near Mount Logan, Yukon Territory in dry snow zone, finding it nearly isothermal from -18.0°C at 10 m depth to -17.7°C at bottom. Nye time-scale indicates age of ice core varies from around 500 to 1300 years, with ice accumulation rates from 1.0 to 0.4 m a⁻¹.
