Abstract: Reports assessment of incidence and etiology of serium sodium levels below 135 mmol/L in 100-mile Iditasport ultramarathon. Possible signs and symptoms include light-headedness, nausea, vomiting, malaise, exhaustion, altered mental status, headache, seizures, and, in extreme cases, death.
