Author(s): Andrén, Hans.
Jonasson, Christer.
Ottosson, Johan.
Date: 2002.
In: Geografiska Annaler. Series A. Physical Geography. (2002.), Vol. 84 A(3-4) (2002)
Abstract: Aim was to describe recent delta and its development since 1960s. Growth has been small compared to other deltas in Scandinavian mountains, as upstream lakes trap most sediments. Main part is probably associated with lowering of Torneträsk ice lakes. Effects of heavy rain show as sand and silt on levees. Shoreline and mouth bars are continuously changed by waves, with spits forming and reforming.
