Abstract: In Mexico, glaciers are found on three highest mountains, all volcanic. Total area of these 24 small glaciers is 11.44 km²; Gran Glaciar Norte is largest, with area of 9.08 km². Historical data is patchy. Landsat 3 return beam vidicon images improve delineation compared to multispectral scanner images.
