Glaciers of Canada: Glaciers of the St. Elias Mountains / Garry K.C. Clarke, Gerald Holdsworth.

Title: Glaciers of Canada: Glaciers of the St. Elias Mountains / Garry K.C. Clarke, Gerald Holdsworth.
Author(s): Clarke, Garry K. C.
Holdsworth, Gerald.
Date: 2002.
In: U.S. Geological Survey professional paper. (2002.), Vol. 1386-J1 (2002)
Abstract: Ice fields and their outlet glaciers, plateau glaciers, valley and piedmont glaciers are common throughout St Elias Mountains, straddling borders of Canada and USA. Areas range up to 1200 km². At least 136 of sub-polar glaciers are surge-type glaciers; their looped medial moraines are distinctive on Landsat images. Employs sequential Landsat images in analysing dynamics of Tweedsmuir and Lowell (surging) Glaciers.
