Record #162715:

Glaciers of Canada: Glaciers of the Arctic islands: Glaciers of the High Arctic islands / Roy M. Koerner.

Title: Glaciers of Canada: Glaciers of the Arctic islands: Glaciers of the High Arctic islands / Roy M. Koerner.
Author(s): Koerner, Roy M.
Date: 2002.
In: U.S. Geological Survey professional paper. (2002.), Vol. 1386-J1 (2002)
Abstract: Traces formation of ice caps of Canadian High Arctic, linked to climatic change. Mass-balance measurements show few signs of warming or cooling in eastern Canadian Arctic during last 40 years. Satellite imagery is shows only slow pattern of change in geometry of ice caps in response to climate change of last 150 years. Improved satellite sensors are expanding possibilities for glacier study.
