Wspolczesne tendencje w ksztaltowaniu bilansu masy lodowcow polarnych i subpolarnych / Jerzy Pereyma.

Title: Wspolczesne tendencje w ksztaltowaniu bilansu masy lodowcow polarnych i subpolarnych / Jerzy Pereyma.
Translated title: Modern trends in shaping the mass balance of polar and subpolar glaciers.
Author(s): Pereyma, Jerzy.
Date: 1999.
Language: Polish.
In: Problemy Klimatologii Polarnej. (1999.), Vol. 9 (1999)
Abstract: Study of mass balance of Arctic and sub-Arctic glaciers 1965-95 shows Devon Ice Cap (Canada) and Austre Broegger, Spitsbergen retain negative mass balance for whole period. Coastal glaciers are modified by influence of oceans. Wolverine Glacier, Alaska, shows positive mass balance for most of period, though negative in last 6 years. Gulkana Glacier, Alaska and Storglaciar, Sweden have generally shown moderately negative mass balance. Coastal glacier Enga, Norway shows significant positive mass balance.
