Abstract: Summaries in French and Spanish. Employs seismic reflection profiles and piston cores on upper continental slope of Laurentian Channel to show morainal ridge corresponding to Last Glacial Maximum grounding line. Traces meltwater outburst that eroded gullies on slope and was covered by stony diamict that may represent till deposition from glacial surge. Retreat of ice margin may have lasted until further retreat up Laurentian Channel synchronous with Heinrich Event 1. Younger proglacial sediment on upper continental slope slumped at about 12 ka probably through loading by late ice advance across St Pierre Bank.
