Record #162074:

Cyclic migration of chemical elements at the soil-snow interface / V.I. Fedoseeva.

Title: Cyclic migration of chemical elements at the soil-snow interface / V.I. Fedoseeva.
Author(s): Fedoseeva, V. I.
Date: 2002.
Language: Russian transliteration entered into original records using BGN/PCGN 1947 romanisation of Russian; Cyrillic text in MARC 880 field(s) reverse transliterated from this by automated process; BGN/PCGN 1947 text then upgraded to Library of Congress romanisation.
In: Materialy Gli︠a︡t︠s︡iologicheskikh Issledovaniĭ. (2002.), Vol. 92 (2002)
Abstract: Conducts integrated studies on dynamics of chemical content of snow in area of central Yakutia, including investigation of water vapour migration in snowpack. This process affects characteristics of snow related to amount of liquid-like phase on surface of snow crystals and so amount of substances dissolved in it. Temperature of environment is important, and seasonal variation; migration of soluble substances across liquid-like film may be observed even at temperatures of -12\degC or -13°C.
