Regional variation of caesium-137 in minke whales Balaenoptera acutorostrada from West Greenland, the North-east Atlantic and the North Sea / Erik W. Born, Henning Dahlgaard, Framk F. Riget, Rune Dietz, Nils Øien, Tore Haug.

Title: Regional variation of caesium-137 in minke whales Balaenoptera acutorostrada from West Greenland, the North-east Atlantic and the North Sea / Erik W. Born, Henning Dahlgaard, Framk F. Riget, Rune Dietz, Nils Øien, Tore Haug.

Date: 2002.
In: Polar Biology. (2002.), Vol. 25(12) (2002)
Abstract: Muscle tissue from 135 whales caught in 1998 was analysed. Highest caesium concentration was from North Sea, as previously. Difference supports indications that groups of whales are at North Atlantic feeding grounds for some time, and disperse into separate stocks during summer.
