Date: 2002.
In: Polar Biology. (2002.), Vol. 25(12) (2002)
Abstract: Reproductive organs of 165 males and 92 females were examined. Males became mature in spring after fifth birthday. Most ovulations occur before mid-May, indicating peak of mating season begins late March and ends in May. Findings are different from those of similar study in Svalbard, where peak of mating season is later, and males mature earlier.
