Abstract: | Reports efforts to engage residents of Churchill, Manitoba, in resource management responsibilities following passing in 1997 of Oceans Act in relation to Canada's exclusive economic zone. Steps taken included communicating importance of management planning for town's coastal region; personal interviews; consolidating, tabulating, and mapping results of interviews; verifying results with community; and evaluating effectiveness of process used. |
