| Abstract: | Study of concentration and size distribution of mineral microparticles in North Greenland Ice Core Project (NGRIP) ice core from 1405-293 m depth using optical detector. Observed systematic variations in size distribution, with larger particles more likely during colder periods; size changes were largely synchronous with concentration changes. Infers that circulation of atmosphere was more variable during periods of warmer climate. |
