| Abstract: | Outlines CCAMLR's development of management approach for Antarctic krill Euphausia superba fishery and associated ecosystem components between 1984-95. Approach is shown to be consistent with objectives of CCAMLR Convention, and initiation of CCAMLR Ecosystem Monitoring Program (CEMP) and deliberations of Working Group on Krill (WG-Krill) are considered, as is modelling approach developed to calculate precautionary catch limit for krill fishery in various CCAMLR statistical areas. |
