Testing the case for a Middle Pleistocene Scandinavian glaciation in eastern England: evidence for a Scottish ice source for tills within the Corton formation of East Anglia, UK / Jonathan R. Lee, James Rose, James B. Riding, Brian S.P. Moorlock, Richard J.O. Hamblin.
Title: | Testing the case for a Middle Pleistocene Scandinavian glaciation in eastern England: evidence for a Scottish ice source for tills within the Corton formation of East Anglia, UK / Jonathan R. Lee, James Rose, James B. Riding, Brian S.P. Moorlock, Richard J.O. Hamblin. |
Author(s): | Lee, Jonathan R. Rose, James. Riding, James B. Moorlock, Brian S. P. Hamblin, Richard J. O. |
Date: | 2002. |
In: | Boreas. (2002.), Vol. 31(4) (2002) |
Abstract: | Presents lithological and palynological evidence from two tills in East Anglia to show that ice-flow paths were deposited by Scottish rather than Scandinavian ice. Correlation of clast lithologies shows up material not found in Scandinavia as well as absence of some distinctive Scandinavian material. |
Notes: | Boreas. Vol. 31(4) :345-355 (2002). |
