In: Marine Ornithology. (2002.), Vol. 29(2) (2002)
Abstract: Presents data from 1997-98 study of diet of kelp gulls at three breeding sites in northern Antarctic Peninsula. Krill made up 20% by mass of adult diet, and 66% of chick diet, and comparison with data from other sites shows substantial differences in chick diet. Discusses link between high reproductive performance and high availability of offshore prey.
