| Abstract: | Presents measures relating to revised management plans for Specially Protected Areas and Sites of Special Scientific Interest, and extension of expiry dates for certain Sites of Special Scientific Interest Provides full text of guidelines for implementation of the framework for protected areas under provisions of Annex V of 1991 Environmental Protocol. Includes checklists relating to values to be protected; identifying protection and use categories; assessing quality aspects of proposed protected areas; assessing environmental risk; feasibility criteria for assessment of possible protected areas; and matrix of area values and categories against quality criteria. |
