Abstract: Profile of SS Erik, whaler built in Scotland in 1865, then employed by Hudson's Bay Company between 1883 and 1902, then used for sealing, and as support vessel for Arctic explorers such as Peary. Finally, sunk by German submarine on 25 August 1918.
