Record #161296:

Using GIS to predict potential wildlife habitat: a case study of muskoxen in northern Alaska / F.S. Danks, D.R. Klein.

Title: Using GIS to predict potential wildlife habitat: a case study of muskoxen in northern Alaska / F.S. Danks, D.R. Klein.
Author(s): Danks, F. S.
Klein, D. R.
Date: 2002.
In: International Journal of Remote Sensing. (2002.), Vol. 23(21) (2002)
Abstract: Muskox location data, satellite-based vegetation maps, digital elevation models, and terrain data incorporated into maximum likelihood classification to produce muskox habitat model for region currently occupied by muskoxen. Model then extrapolated to National Petroleum Reserve - Alaska, an area facing conflict over management and use.
