| Abstract: | 6 types of forest were studied: old-growth pine; old-growth spruce; old-growth mixed; 1-year and 15-year seed-tree cut pine; and 15-year clear- cut spruce. Aim was to answer questions: What was composition of beetle assemblages in different pristine forests? How are different structural features of forest related to species richness and composition? What are effects of seed-tree and clear-cutting on beetle fauna in 15-year perspective?. |
