In: Journal of the Marine Biological Association of the United Kingdom. (2001.), Vol. 82(5) (2001)
Abstract: Analyses possible effects of two components of El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) on cephalopod diet composition of moulting female Mirounga leonina at King George Island, South Shetland Islands, in 1991-93 and 1995-96. Reduction observed in biomass of Psychroteuthis glacialis in El Niño years compared with La Niña year was similar to that for all squid prey species, with exception of Galiteuthis glacialis, which occurred in low numbers but was more abundant during El Niño years than in La Niña year.
