Record #160809:

The south-east Greenland glaciated margin: 3D stratal architecture of shelf and deep sea / Lene Clausen.

Title: The south-east Greenland glaciated margin: 3D stratal architecture of shelf and deep sea / Lene Clausen.
Author(s): Clausen, Lene.
Date: 1998.
Publisher: London: Geological Society London
In: Geological processes on continental margins : sedimentation, mass-wasting and stability. (1998.), Vol. 129
Abstract: Seismic stratigraphical study of Upper Neogene and Pleistocene shelf and deep-sea deposits is presented. Environment was controlled by glacial, turbidity current and contour current processes. Tertiary sedimentary wedge up to 1.7 km thick rests on dippinng volcanic acoustic basement. Present shelf is overdeepend, landward dipping and traversed by troughs characteristic of sculpturing by grounded ice. Three seismic sequences are identified.
