Abstract: | Greenland children's ear trouble could be improved by better living conditions and later start in day institutions. / Since mining fever is never absent, and seems to be nearer fulfilment than ever, it is high time to learn lessons from past, in order to avoid unnecessary damage. / Satellite photos show synchrony of Northern and Southern Lights for first time. / Describes value of traditional biological knowledge to Greenland science and importance of gaining hunters' cooperation in planning. / 140 years since Nansen's birth are celebrated. He was voted in 1999 most significant Norwegian by Aftenposten readers, and had been secretly invited at Norway-Sweden separation to become president or king. |
