Klimat och fisk - vad vet vi och vad tror vi? / Harald Loeng.

Title: Klimat och fisk - vad vet vi och vad tror vi? / Harald Loeng.
Translated title: Climate and fish - what do we know and what do we suppose?.
Author(s): Loeng, Harald.
Date: 2001.
Language: Swedish.
In: Fauna och Flora. (2001.), Vol. 96(3) (2001)
Abstract: Focuses on climatic influences on marine ecosystems in Nordic and Barents Seas. Describes inflows of Atlantic and Arctic water, with temperature variations of former, and past effect of 1° warming on Iceland herring. Barents cod years are rich only when spawning areas and fry's early range are warm. Cod, haddock and capelin go NE in warm years. Climate also affects plankton production. If temperatures increase permanently by 1-2 deg. migration routes will change and new species may appear.
