Abstract: Ernst Manker carried away skeleton of Suojvengella (Anders Eriksson) from its grave at Atoklimpen to Stockholm in 1950 for research, but never returned it. Inger Zachrisson of Historical Museum and Prof Louise Bäckman describes Saami beliefs and practices about death and burial. Priest Erik-Oscar Oscarsson describes slow conversion of Saami to Christianity with special vitality under Laestadius.
