| Abstract: | Italian and French summaries. Finds through geomorphological mapping and pollen analysis three pre-Little Ice Age glacial phases and two rock-glacier generations in area of French-Italian Alps and relates them to global climatic oscillations. Proposes quantitative reconstruction of climate during glacier advances. Permafrost still characterises Subboreal rock glaciers and flow units above 2600 m, formed during Younger Dryas. |
