Record #158857:

Regional characteristics of chemical constituents in surface snow, Arctic cryosphere / Hideaki Motoyama, and 9 others.

Title: Regional characteristics of chemical constituents in surface snow, Arctic cryosphere / Hideaki Motoyama, and 9 others.
Author(s): Motoyama, Hideaki.
Date: 2001.
In: Polar Meteorology and Glaciology. (2001.), Vol. 15 (2001)
Abstract: Study of surface snow on glaciers in Svalbard, Severnaya Zemlya, Greenland and Arctic Canada showed regional characteristics for all glaciers, though seasonal variation of chemical constituents lasted in central Greenland with little snowmelt occurring. In Svalbard, influence of melt water altered chemical constituents, with decrease in concentration of ions.
