Record #158491:

The Eskolabreen granitoids revisited - an ion microprobe study of complex zircons from late Palaeoptoterozoic granitoids within the Ny Friesland Caledonides, Svalbard / Åke Johansson.

Title: The Eskolabreen granitoids revisited - an ion microprobe study of complex zircons from late Palaeoptoterozoic granitoids within the Ny Friesland Caledonides, Svalbard / Åke Johansson.
Author(s): Johansson, Åke.
Date: 2001.
In: GFF. (2001.), Vol. 123(1) (2001)
Abstract: Zircons from one orthogneiss, previously dated by U-Pb to c. 1766 Ma, and one of migmatite neosome, c. 1734 Ma, were examined by NORDSIM ion microprobe on ²⁰⁷Pb/²⁰⁶Pb to find nature of Caledonian overprinting, leading to lower intercept ages close to 400 Ma, and age of migmatisation in neosome. Observations favour late Palaeoproterozoic migmatisation.
Notes:

GFF. Vol. 123(1) :1-5 (2001).

Keywords: 550.4 -- Geochemistry.
551.72 -- Proterozoic.
