Abstract: Describes tragedy at Kangitujuaq (Crooks Inlet), Baffin Island in 1937 when more than half population died, probably of botulism from eating contaminated whale. Peter Nichols investigated at that time, and buried dead. This article tells of return by survivor, and mourning at communal grave.
